Who is James Jones?

Road to Tokyo 2020

As one of 6 world-class athletes in the freestyle BMX category, Jones was allowed to ride on the Great Britain team at the 2020 Olympic Games.

From one sport to another

Before he started riding BMX, Jones was a soccer player. He could see a skate park opposite his training ground, which he visited more and more often and for longer and longer periods of time until he started riding BMX instead of soccer.

Never give up

In 2017, Jones suffered a back injury. He broke 2 vertebrae and also slightly fractured his neck. 3 months later, he was already active in competitions again and was even able to win 2 races straight away.  1 year after his injury he joined the British national team.
