A short time later ET came to the cinema and the BMX boom began. For the first 7 years, Thomas raced BMX.
In 1990, Thomas won 4th place in the World BMX Flatland Championship.
In 1988 Thomas and his brother Wolfgang founded their BMX company KHEbikes, which turns 35 this year.
