New KHE SILENCER LT 2026

With the new KHE SILENCER LT 2026, we are expanding our PRO Series with a lightweight, high-quality 20-inch BMX bike for street, park and dirt riding. During development, we placed particular emphasis on low weight, a strong CrMo construction, modern geometry and durable components.

With a total weight of just 23.1 lbs (10.5 kg), the SILENCER LT delivers a direct and controlled riding experience. A special visual highlight is the new two-tone finish in Satin Dark Green and Bronze, which gives the bike a distinctive and premium appearance.

The model featured here is supplied with a pre-installed rear brake. For experienced street riders and professionals, we also offer a separate brakeless version.

A lightweight CrMo frame for demanding BMX riding

The SILENCER LT frame is made from seamless 4130 chromoly steel. CrMo is particularly popular in high-quality BMX bikes because it combines excellent strength with a comparatively low weight. These properties are especially important during jumps, grinds, rapid changes of direction and harder landings.

We also use tapered, or butted, tubing on the SILENCER LT. The wall thickness of each tube is adapted to the loads placed upon it. More material is retained in highly stressed areas, while weight can be reduced in areas exposed to less stress.

The fork is also made from high-quality CrMo steel and features tapered tubing and a CNC-machined CrMo steerer tube. The one-piece 3D dropouts on the frame and fork provide a strong connection to the wheels and are designed to withstand the demands of street, park and dirt riding.

Our new two-tone finish in Dark Green and Bronze

For the 2026 model year, we have given the SILENCER LT a special two-tone finish. The combination of Satin Dark Green and Bronze changes its appearance depending on the light and highlights the shape of the frame.

Instead of a conventional single-colour design, the two-tone finish combines a subtle base colour with striking bronze details. This keeps the bike clean and premium while ensuring that it still stands out immediately at the skatepark or on the street.

Modern BMX geometry for street, park and dirt

The SILENCER LT has a 21-inch top tube, making it particularly suitable for taller teenagers and adult riders. The compact 13.2-inch (336 mm) chainstay length supports responsive handling and makes technical tricks, manuals and spins easier.

The 75.5-degree head tube angle provides direct steering. This allows the BMX to be controlled precisely without feeling unstable at higher speeds. The geometry is suitable for technical street lines as well as ramps, jumps and fast park sessions.

Depending on body proportions and personal preference, we recommend the SILENCER LT for riders approximately 4 ft 9 in to 6 ft 3 in (145–190 cm) tall. The maximum permitted rider weight is 264 lbs (120 kg).

High-quality components for reliable performance

A good frame alone does not make a good BMX bike. That is why we have equipped the SILENCER LT with components selected for low weight, stability and reliable operation.

  • 100% CrMo frame with butted tubing
  • CrMo fork with tapered tubing and CNC-machined steerer tube
  • 3D dropouts at the front and rear
  • KHE three-piece hollow CrMo crank with a length of 6.7 inches (170 mm)
  • 25-tooth CNC-machined aluminium chainring
  • Grindguard to protect the drivetrain
  • Sealed MID bottom bracket with industrial bearings
  • 9-tooth cassette hub with sealed industrial bearings
  • Welded KHE BIG400 V2 double-wall rims
  • KHE ACME tyres in 20 × 2.40 inches

The 9-tooth cassette hub provides direct power transfer when pedalling. It is especially suitable for riders who prefer precise and immediate engagement. Sealed industrial bearings in the hubs, headset and bottom bracket reduce maintenance requirements and provide better protection against dirt and moisture.

SILENCER LT with brake or as a brakeless version

We offer the SILENCER LT 2026 in two different configurations. The model featured in this article has a pre-installed KHE RADIUS aluminium U-brake on the rear wheel. This version is a good choice for riders who want additional control or would like to retain the option of riding brakeless later.

For advanced street riders and professionals, the SILENCER LT is also available as a separate brakeless version.

Why do many BMX riders ride brakeless?

Particularly in modern street BMX, many experienced riders deliberately choose to ride without a brake. A brakeless BMX has a very clean appearance, uses fewer components and provides maximum freedom of movement around the handlebar and frame.

During tricks such as barspins or tailwhips, there is no brake cable that can twist or interfere with the frame. Removing the brake lever, cable and brake also saves a small amount of weight and reduces the number of components that require maintenance.

Experienced brakeless riders control their speed more through line choice, body position, coasting and carefully braking with a foot against the tyre. However, this requires experience, good awareness of the surroundings and considerably more forward planning.

When is a brake the better choice?

A rear brake is not only useful for BMX beginners. Many advanced riders and professionals deliberately use a brake because it provides additional control during certain tricks, park lines or at higher speeds.

We particularly recommend the version with a brake when you:

  • are just starting to ride BMX,
  • want to learn new tricks in a controlled way,
  • frequently ride in skateparks or on pump tracks,
  • need more control on steep approaches and descents,
  • also use the BMX outside designated training areas, or
  • cannot yet stop safely without a brake.

Riding brakeless is not a requirement for becoming an advanced or skilled BMX rider. What matters is choosing the configuration that best suits your riding style, intended use and personal sense of safety.

Brakeless Ready: flexible conversion later

An important advantage of the rear-brake version is its Brakeless Ready construction. The brake mounts and cable guides can be removed when required. This allows you to begin riding with a brake and later adapt the bike as your riding style develops.

After the brake has been removed, the frame has an especially clean appearance. You therefore do not have to make a permanent choice between a conventional brake configuration and a clean brakeless setup when purchasing the bike.

Cassette hub or freecoaster?

The SILENCER LT is equipped with a 9-tooth cassette hub. A cassette transfers the pedalling movement directly to the rear wheel and provides a clear, immediate engagement point. Many park and street riders appreciate this direct riding feel.

A freecoaster, by contrast, allows the bike to roll backwards without the cranks rotating. This can be advantageous for fakies and certain technical street tricks. A cassette is often the better choice for riders who prefer a straightforward drivetrain, direct power transfer and predictable handling.

Which pegs fit the SILENCER LT?

The SILENCER LT has a 10 mm axle at the front and a strong 14 mm axle at the rear. The bike is therefore compatible with 10 mm pegs at the front and 14 mm pegs at the rear.

For street riding and grind tricks, we recommend our KHE Laser Pro or CNC Pro pegs. Before installation, always check that the pegs, axles and axle nuts are compatible and can be securely fastened.

Who is the KHE SILENCER LT designed for?

The SILENCER LT was developed for ambitious beginners, advanced BMX riders and professionals looking for a lightweight, high-quality bike for street, park or dirt riding.

Thanks to the full CrMo frame, high-quality fork, modern geometry and sealed bearings, the model is designed for regular and demanding sessions. At the same time, the rear-brake version provides enough control to gradually progress to new tricks and larger jumps.

Suitable accessories for your SILENCER LT

In our shop, you will find a selection of accessories for the SILENCER LT, including BMX pegs, helmets, gloves, knee pads and elbow pads. We particularly recommend suitable protective equipment when learning new tricks or taking part in intensive park or street sessions.

  • KHE Laser Pro or CNC Pro pegs
  • KHE PRO BMX helmet
  • KHE 4130 BMX gloves
  • O’NEAL knee pads and elbow pads
  • Suitable KHE front brake if required

Our conclusion on the new SILENCER LT 2026

With the KHE SILENCER LT 2026, we offer a modern BMX bike for riders who want to combine low weight, high-quality CrMo engineering and reliable equipment.

The new two-tone finish in Satin Dark Green and Bronze also makes the bike visually distinctive. At the same time, the full CrMo frame, cassette hub, double-wall rims and sealed industrial bearings provide equipment designed for demanding BMX riding.

With the choice between the rear-brake version and the separate brakeless model, every rider can select the right setup for their riding style. Riders who initially start with a brake can later remove the mounts and cable guides to convert the SILENCER LT into a clean brakeless BMX bike.
